As a motherhood photographer, it is so important that I make women feel comfortable in front of the camera, especially when they are expecting. Pregnancy comes with many changes to the female body and my goal is to ensure my mamas feel confident and look stunning during a maternity photoshoot.
When you book a maternity photoshoot with me, you have access to my full client closet full of options. You always can relaxing knowing I am very hands on during our session and will help pose you for the most flattering pictures. Here is a quick list of my most loved poses that I will use during a maternity photoshoot.
Classic Knee Pop
This is a classic beautiful portrait that I always like to start my session with. It’s important that mama bends the knee that is closest to my camera. My client can put both hands under her belly or put one hand on top and below the belly.

Classic Hand on Hip
Another classic pose that is super quick and easy. I have my client keep that first pose and simply change her hand position by having her place her hand closest to be on her hip. From there, she can play with her dress, look at me, look down to her side, look up.

Close up of Belly and Props
If my client has an ultrasound picture or little shoes for baby, I always like to get a couple close up shots. I always like to play with the position of my camera and play with lighting and the sun.

Walking
Having my clients walk at the start of the session is always a good choice. It helps mothers get comfortable in front of the camera by having them do something that is very natural. My only request is that they always hold a part of their belly so we can tell they are pregnant and that they walk a tad slower than normal. They can simply look at their partner or play with their dress while taking few steps towards the camera.

Laying on your back
Sometimes I like to have mothers lay down on a blanket and hold their belly. It’s always important that I am shooting at a flattering angle downward and that mother is not looking right at her belly to avoid a double chin.

Look away from me
Sometimes simply having mama turn her body away from me while holding her bump can be very flattering. It creates a nice silhouette focusing on the bump and booty.
