In-home newborn photos have always been my preference. My goal is to document the realness, and keep things natural for families so coming directly to their home is the way to go. Wrapped newborn poses along with lifestyle newborn photos can both be done within the home. Below are my top reasons why I just love in-home newborn photography sessions.
#1 No Traveling
No travel is great for parents and their newborn. Many times newborns fall asleep in the car seat while traveling to a studio session which makes those sleepy newborn poses more difficult. I come directly to client’s within the DFW area and bring everything with me.
#2. Older siblings have more freedom
Siblings are much more in their element and comfortable when they are home. I tend to get much happier photos if older siblings are relaxed.
#3 Space to be creative
Homes have character and different unique spaces. When I first arrive for a newborn session, I always like to look around and see where I can get creative. Sometimes the less obvious spaces can create a stunning image that tells a story.
#4 Authentic Vibes
Capturing your real family and the moment in time is the goal. Having a newborn session at-home helps tell your story more.
#5 No diaper bag needed
There is comfort in knowing that everything you may need is all right at home during the session.
#6 Plenty of space for extended family
Studios can be tight at times, so when at home if grandparents want to join, they can be involved for a few photos and then go into a different room. Grandparents can also help play with older sister or brother in a playroom or their room while we focus on the newborn. There is simply more freedom when at-home.
#7 Parents can relax
No traveling, No worries, simply at-home in your natural environment.
#8 I offer wrapped poses too
I bring a big variety of bowls, baskets, beds, swaddles and outfits to each newborn session. Full newborn packages come with both lifestyle images and wrapped poses of baby.
